Tell us who you want to curate Meltdown to win Elizabeth Fraser tickets

Back to blog

July, 25th 2012

We always enjoy talking about potential Meltdown directors so who do you think should curate the festival?

We've teamed up with Spotify and Soundrop to offer you and three friends the chance to see Elizabeth Fraser from a box in Royal Festival Hall on Monday 6 August. These are some of the hottest seats of the festival so these tickets are worth their weight in gold!

Plus, Spotify have given us a Six-month subscription for Spotify Premium to give away so you can listen to all the artists appearing at Meltdown to your hearts content.

To be in with a chance to win here's what you need to:

1. Enter our Soundrop room here
2.
Choose an artist that you’d like to curate Meltdown and use the search box to find them
3. Add your favourite of their tracks to the playlist by clicking on the + symbol

Deadline for entries is 3 August 2012, winners will be chosen at random and notified by email.

What is Soundrop?
Soundrop is an app for Spotify users, and is a crowd based social music hangout where you can listen with friends, vote up your favorite music and chat about it. Find out more

John Lydon would be a fantastic curator. As would Jools Holland and Damon Albarn. Another great idea would be Bjork.

ps. one reason the links might not be working for me is that i'm in Japan right now & will be flying back for the elizabeth fraser show on the 7th - it'd be great to still be entered into the draw but it does seem there are some problems with the soundrop site for folks elsewhere too.

  • By jez riley french // July, 26th 2012 // Report this comment

soundrop link opens but there are no options for searching or completing the entry methods - which is a shame as watching Liz from the box would be great ! my suggestions for curatorship would be: elizabeth fraser herself joanna newsom laetitia sadier / tim gane / stereolab joni mitchell joana molina chris watson

the soundrop rooom doesn't seem to work for me but i'd appreciate curatorship being given to lee scratch perry, donal lunny or regular particpant hal wilner
