Queen Elizabeth Hall
Joan Wasser (aka Joan As Police Woman) has spent over 20 years performing and recording alongside acts such as Lou Reed, Sparklehorse, musical director and Meltdown co-performer Hal Willner’s projects, and Damon Albarn’s Africa Express.
She’s joined on the bill by singer-songwriter Matteah Baim plus Julia Kent, who uses multitracked cello, found sounds, and electronics to create music that is cinematic, powerful and impressionistic.

Matmos duo Martin Schmidt and Drew Daniel’s music takes field recordings and varied elements of glitch, techno and electonica morphing them into records that have garnered acclaim across the world. Support comes from the Berlin-based o F F Love whose record ‘Probably Love’ came out on the leftfield tastemakers M=Maximal label at the start of 2012.

Lou Reed performs for this year’s Meltdown, curated by his friend and collaborator Antony.
