A one-off night of Islamic punk
Bringing together the best in an emerging Islamic punk scene (Taqwacore), this special gig sees The Kominas headline a one-off bill of Taqwacore bands that includes Chicago’s Al-Thawra, the pioneering Fun-Da-Mental, and Muslim hip-hop duo Poetic Pilgrimage, as well as a film screening of Taqwacore: The Birth of Punk Islam and New Muslim Cool and a discussion with author of The Taqwacores Michael Muhammad Knight, Riz MC and Omar Majeed.
